Steelscape is a premier coil coater specializing in metallic-coated and painted steel. We don’t manufacture finished panels or building products. We provide the coated steel that makes them possible. Through tightly controlled manufacturing processes, we transform steel at the coil level to deliver consistent performance, durability, and visual quality for downstream manufacturers and fabricators.
By applying advanced metallic coatings and premium paint systems before fabrication begins, Steelscape helps manufacturers improve efficiency, reduce waste, and produce finished products with long-lasting performance and appearance. Every coil is engineered to meet exacting quality standards, providing a reliable foundation for roofing, siding, architectural, and other demanding applications.
Raw Steel to Performance‑Ready Coil
Every Steelscape coil follows a deliberate, precision‑driven process designed to ensure surface quality, corrosion resistance, and long‑term performance.
Pickling & Surface Preparation
Steel is passed through a series of acid baths to remove mill scale and surface contaminants. This critical step prepares the steel for consistent coating adhesion and allows material to be trimmed to the specified final widths.
Cold Rolling
After pickling, steel is cold-rolled to achieve customer-specified thickness and tight dimensional tolerances. Steelscape’s reversing cold-rolling mill uses closed-loop, computerized controls to maintain precision for demanding downstream applications.
Metallic Coating for Corrosion Protection
Steelscape applies proven metallic coatings that form the foundation of steel performance.
TruZinc® (Galvanized Steel) – Zinc‑coated steel offering reliable corrosion protection and wide formability.
ZINCALUME® Steel (Galvalume®) – Aluminum‑zinc alloy coating providing enhanced corrosion resistance and cut‑edge protection.
These coatings are applied under tightly controlled conditions of our Metallic Coating Line to ensure uniform coverage and consistent results across every coil.
Following metallic coating, steel may be further enhanced through Steelscape’s advanced paint lines. In addition to steel substrates, high-performance paint systems can be applied to aluminum through the paint line.
Our continuous coil coating process applies and cures proven paint systems engineered for durability, color consistency, and visual finish. A wide range of colors, technologies, textures, and specialty finishes support both architectural and industrial applications.
Each painted coil (steel or aluminum) is produced with strict control over film thickness, adhesion, and curing to ensure predictable downstream performance.

Coated steel can be slit to customer-specified widths, supporting multiple manufacturing lines and reducing the need for additional processing. Steelscape can process material from very light gauges through heavier structural steel.

Steelscape offers non‑directional stucco embossing to add texture and depth to steel and aluminum. This finish is commonly used in architectural wall systems, cold storage applications, and specialty products.
Steelscape’s extensive production and coating capabilities, located in Kalama, Washington, and Rancho Cucamonga, California, support the reliable manufacturing of coated and painted light‑gauge steel and aluminum. Designed for throughput, consistency, and control, our operations deliver material that performs predictably in downstream applications.
We work directly with roll formers, panel manufacturers, and coil distributors, serving as an upstream partner with a downstream focus. By delivering consistent coil quality, we help reduce variability, improve yields, and support demanding performance and specification requirements.
Steelscape‑coated steel is used across roofing, wall cladding, architectural envelopes, HVAC components, and fabricated assemblies. While applications vary, every coil is produced with the same emphasis on precision, durability, and long‑term performance—because every finished product starts here.
